Suunto X6 Outdoors Watch

I received a very nice present from my mother on my 34th birthday, among other items, a Finnish SUUNTO X6 multifunction outdoors watch.
See here for details and other's (Outdoos Magazine) reviews & forums: http://www.outdoors-magazine.com/s_article.php?id_article=74
It has time, countdown timer, multiple time alarms, thermometer, altimeter, clinometer, barometer, data logging so you can view graphs of changes on each of the data points, has a serial link to PC and desktop software for retrieving data and such, and is good to 100 meters depth with crystal screen and more.
This is a major change from the much more fragile calculator watches I've had for decades, most of which I end up destroying working on cars or rock climbing or other physical tasks, hopefully this will hold up if the repairs go well.

Mixed reviews on the Internet though, and older ones seem to have issues, and mine is having what is apparently an infamous problem with it resetting data to factory settins when it randomly does "Defrag Memory", basically it's crashing and apparently they send a new or refurbished watch since it's supposedly a hardware issue with some. :-(
So now I'm going through the process, but their service center is closed for the holidays, and according to the forums it's been an average 3 months turn around time!
I'll post an update when there's more to report on this.
