Preparing replacement server.

The old server is around 5-6 years old. 

It's been a great box.

A VA Linux 1u rackmount with dual 866mhz cpus and 2 gb ram and raid1 (mirror) scsi-3 ultra-160 18 gb drives (x2).

But it's really showing it's age.

It's running rhel 3 (Redhat enterprise linux 3.x), which is waaaay out of date (though very tightened down).

It's time for a complete overhaul of software and hardware.

So, the new server is an ASUS 1u rackmount.

The "read more" link has photos of it, below are the specs, I'll be trying to get OpenBSD 4.0 working on it, if that has

too many issues with hardware and/or software compabitility, then I'll fall back to gentoo, which is what all the

development servers are running on now anyway. But since OpenBSD finally supports multiple cpu's, and it's my

os of choice for security, I will endeavor to make it work.
