Linux, SuSE 9.0, grt170 part 8

Here is more information on setting up various hardware under SuSE Linux 9.0 on the Sony Vaio pcg grt 170.

This article covers a variety of topics such as a scsi pcmcia card, windows ce device synch, palm synch, scsi and usb scanners. As I have done with other articles in this series, each section may be updated as I have more up to date information, also if the article gets to large, then I will break it up into smaller subject specific articles.

I also setup a scsi pcmcia card....

Setup sync with my Palm Vx.....

Then tried settig up synchro with my jornada 690 and 720....

Then setup scsi Zip drive via the pcmcia scsi card...

Then setup scsi Jaz drive (2gb) via the pcmcia scsi card....

Then setup both the zip, jaz, and mustek scanner via the scsi pcmcia card daisy chaining them all together....

Then attempted to get my magellan gps 310 working via serial to usb adapter (Since the magellan is a serial connector, but there are no serial ports on the laptop unless you have the port replicator, which I do, but I need the gps to work when I'm on the road not stationary, failing that, then I'll just use the pcga prgt1 port replicator I have and it's serial port. Here's the results of my efforts.....
