2006/12/15
In recent weeks, I've been ramping up how much of the cooking I do for the household.
Just in the past few weeks, I cooked up from scratch some of the following dishes with a variety of responses (with 3 kids and a wife, if I get 2-3 happy out of 4, then it's a success. ;-) ):
Pad Thai
Creole Sole
Hot and Sour Soup
Boston Baked Beans (with Chicken and Turkey bacon instead of ham) with Cornbread and honey butter
Japanese Miso creamy potato soup (no dairy, just pureed potatoes for the "creamy" effect)
Curried red potatos
Stir Fry
Angel hair pasta with chicken and homemade tomato sauce
Halibut (Kebab style) scramble
Poached Salmon in a wine sauce
Curry Chicken
Grilled Trout
Various marinated chicken recipes
Various Finnish and Irish style soups and stews
The list goes on.
In the near future I plan to be serving:
Thai Peanut chicken
Couscous
Barley soup
Home grown, homemade horseradish (we have a huge horseradish plant growing
Curry Rice
Stuffed Green Bell Peppers
And much more... ;-)
